Scientific evaluation is a Himalaya hallmark. Since 1930, Himalaya has been engaged in pioneering research to develop safe and effective herbal products for your health and beauty needs.
Each Himalaya product undergoes years of primary research before it reaches the market. We don't support 'borrowed science' or follow "fashions" in the herbal industry as each of the herbs used in our products is individually researched and tested for efficacy.
We reject animal testing as unethical and none of our products go through any form of animal testing. You can be assured of a "No Animal Testing" declaration on each of our product labels.
With the commitment of more than 2000 employees including a team of 100 research scientists, Himalaya has grown into a company that is trusted, admired and loved in over 76 countries, a feat that we cherish dearly and strive continuously to build on.
Organique by Himalaya® products are free from Parabens , Sodium Lauryl and Laureth Sulphates (SLS and SLES), Phthalates, Petroleum and its derivatives, Silicones etc.,
and contain no synthetic fragrances or artificial colours but still are seductively pleasurable.
Organic Ingredients: - We use efficacious organic ingredients grown in rich naturally nurturing soils following laws of nature like bio-diversity and without the use of toxic or persistent chemical pesticides or herbicides.
Our Research:- Renowned for cutting-edge herbal research and development, our R&D facility encompasses over 80,000 sq. feet of space and our team of over 100 physicians and scientists ensure that each and every product is subjected to rigorous research and empirical analysis that guarantees you wholesome, efficacious and safe products. We have 3 global patents and 25
global patents pending, and our research and clinical trials have been published in various medical journals including European Journal of Pharmacology and Indian Journal of Clinical practice.
Cold Pressed - Cold Extracted Oils:- At Himalaya, we use only the highest grade of cold-pressed oils in our products derived from cold extraction. Through a process called malaxation, we slowly churn milled seeds/fruits/nuts in a specially designed mixer for 20-40 minutes. This is followed by a laborious extraction process that is crucial due to its effects on oil quality. Although this manual process is time consuming, its outcome is a superior product because of preservation of potent anti-aging compounds, rich nutrients and moisturizing factors present in the herbs.
Seed to Shelf:- We grow our herbs on over 700 acres of clean and green farmland and control our production without any middle-men. We have adopted 2500 farmers, providing them with the technology and tools for sustainable farming and guaranteeing them a reliable source of income through our buy-back agreements.
Respect for the Environment:- In addition to certifications like ISO 14001:2004 for environment control for land, water and air pollution, we work with organizations that are helping preserve our nature like the US-based international organization 'Trees for The Future' to plant 50,000 trees. These trees will remove around 1,240 tons of pollution from the global atmosphere. To effectively use rainwater, Himalaya set up a water-harvesting project where the company now draws its entire daily requirement of approximately 66,000 gallons.
Respect for society:- We have adopted the Soliga Tribe of Southern India and pay 25% above fair market value for their USDA approved Organic Soliga Forest Honey helping them build a better life & future for themselves. Besides selling the honey, we also use this nourishing ingredient in many of our products.
Sustainable Farming:- We have always been committed to our customers well-being without compromising the health of our planet. Through our products, we encourage you to make choices that are good for you and the earth. Organique by Himalaya® products are based on the philosophy of organic farming which promotes the use of cultivation practices that preserve soil health, maintain biodiversity and protect the biosphere. Our farmers are trained in sustainable farming and local conservation, thus making them active participants in securing their environmental and economic future.
Greener Packaging:- Our goal is to minimize the materials used in packaging and maximize the use of eco-friendly options. Some of our recent initiatives include migrating from Polypropylene to High Density Polyethylene bottles, which are more easily recyclable. A design change in our lotion bottles has reduced our plastic consumption by over 40 tons per year. The packaging of our organic soaps is made of 100% recycled and biodegradable paper. Our shipping cartons are also made from 100% recycled paper and cardboard.
